This Week’s Destination: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Welcome to Cabo San Lucas! We decided that we’d trek on down to Mexico for this weeks’ vacation. Why not? We’re a little cold right now sitting in New York and it was time to get a move on to some warm climate. But where in Mexico? We figured Cancun was a little too young and we narrowed it down to Cabo and Acapulco. Don’t worry folks, we’ll eventually get to Acapulco but for now, Cabo will just have to do. Oh well! To learn more about Cabo San Lucas feel free to visit the Cabo San Lucas Guide and Los Cabos Tourism. Now where in the world can one possibly stay in this Mexican paradise? Good thing you’re on the right site.
Accommodations
1. ME by Melia Cabo
You can first visit ME’s Cabo Website if you wish. Here’s a great description we found on Solmelia’s Website: “Designed to raise eyebrows, blur boundaries, tempt, tease and seduce. An experience beyond mere accommodation, The essence of ME Awakens you, be it in “The Passion Club”, Cabo’s most arousing night scene, in world-famous Nikki beach or on “The Level” an entire adult-oriented floor. In-room amenities range from free pre-tuned iPods to home theaters and the most private of Jacuzzis. Inspiring global cuisine is served to a groove on the finest stretch of beach in Cabo. At the heart of it, in the heat of it, is ME by MeliĆ”.” Sounds wonderful to us!

2. The Westin Resort and Spa Los Cabos
You guys know how we feel about the Four Seasons chain of hotels. Well, we have a similar opinion of the Westin’s chain. You pretty much can’t go wrong when you’re choosing a Westin. Therefore we feel no review is necessary. Just for good measure though, take a look at the Westin’s Cabo page and read these reviews.
3. Cabo Azul Resort and Spa
This hotel has a phenomenal website. In case you don’t stay here, it’s nearly impossible to not at least want to visit this place. Here are some traveler photos. The place looks gorgeous.
4. Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Holistic Retreat and Spa
If you can handle the classical Mexican music then take a gander of Pueblo’s website. If you can’t we recommend taking a look at some reviews and pictures of the hotel.
5. Club Cascadas de Baja
Here is the Club Cascadas website. You know the rest of the drill folks. God, do we have to do everything around here?
*As always we provide a list of more hotels just in case these are either out of your budget or not to your liking. Have a great stay! Excuse us for going a little Trip Advisor crazy today! But as it turns out they were pretty on par with our other research.
Restaurants
1. Nick San Japanese Restaurant
Well, we know we’re in Mexico here, but when you’ve got a restaurant that virtually shows up everywhere when looking for the best restaurants in Cabo, you have to just go with it. Plus they’ve got an awesome website. Wait a sec. The food ain’t bad either.

2. French Riviera Restaurant Cabo
As you guessed it. French food. However, this isn’t just any French food. It’s French cuisine! Owned by Chef Jacques Chritien, this “bakery” of sorts offers the finest in breads, pastries, crepes and a whole lot more. Take a peek at this Los Cabos Guide description.
3. Mi Casa
So you’re telling me in Mexico we haven’t even gotten to any Mexican food yet? Fear not, Mi Casa is one of the finest authentic Mexican restaurant in all of Mexico. You can check out Mi Casa’s website for the menu and much more. We love the layout of this place. Awesome atmosphere. That is, if you’re into having fun. If not, don’t go here.
4. The Office on the Beach
Does it look like an office? Hardly. Does it look awesome. Yes. This place easily has one of the best views of all the restaurants in Cabo. Check it out.
5. Sammy Hagars Cabo Wabo Cantina
Think Van Halen. Think Highway 55. Think about sitting next to Sammy Hagar one day if he happens to be relaxing over there. Or you can just think about grabbing a drink, a burger or just having a few laughs. This place rocks. I think the picture of Hagar dressed as a pirate is enough to warrant a website visit.
*Not enough for ya? OK OK. We’ve got more Here’s a searchable database of Cabo Restaurants. And now the fun stuff….
Fun Things to Do
1. Cabo Adventures
Of all the touristy and fun things to do in Cabo, Cabo Adventures is one of this highest, if not highest rated companies to partner with. Normally we don’t put an actual company as a rated pick but we’ve heard from multiple sources that this is a great agency. Here’s their website. Have a blast! Bear in mind we got our pictures from the site. Give us a break!

2. Cabo Dolphins
Well you’ve seen the picture up top. Now live the dream folks. Swim with these beautiful creatures. It’s always a must when you visit a tropical, sunny, beachy place. You can book this through Cabo Adventures.
3. Cabo Whale Watching
This is pretty amazing. Every single winter California grey whales make an 8,000 mile journey all the way from Alaska to the Baja region of Southern California. Why not take a view of these mammoths! You can book a trip on Cabo San Lucas Tours.
4. Land’s End
Hey lovers! This is your chance to get away. Kids pestering you? Are you around too many families this vacation? Take a nice trip to this beautiful stretch of sand. Or you can take the kids. There’s so much to do there. We were pretty tempted to put pictures up here. Check out Yahoo’s site as well as Los Cabos’ Guide.
5. Golf
Yes Golf. Even if you’ve never played golf it’s really tough to pass up the scenery on these courses. Give it a shot! In particular, there are three places we recommend: Cabo Real Golf Course, Cabo Del Sol Ocean Course, and Palmilla Golf Club
Have a great trip!
